The MX2 is a carbon fibre, two seat tandem sport aircraft produced by
MX Aircraft of North Carolina. MX2s are renowned for their reliability
and performance. 1 step up is the MXS-R, the MX2's older brother, the
MXS-R is a single seat aerobatic aircraft, known for its great
performance in the Red Bull Air Race.
The MX2 can pull a G-load of plus and minus 12 Gs, giving it tight
turns and loops and a range of aerobatic maneuvers. It has a top speed
of 220 knots (410 km/h), a stall speed of 58 knots (107 km/h), and can
roll at more than 420 degrees per second. Its vertical penetration is up
to 3,600 feet (1,100 m).
