McDonnell Douglas developed the F/A 18 as an all weather multirole
fighter jet. It has performed at many of the worlds biggest air shows
and is also the choice of the US Navy display team the 'Blue Angels'.
As a dog fight specialist aircraft this mid-wing twin engine design was
extremely agile and nimble, remaining controllable at very high angles
of attack.
