RC Aircrafts : FMS F6F Hellcat Blue - ARTF.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was a carrier based WW2 fighter that replaced
the earlier F4F Wildcat. It was designed to out perform the Japanese
Zero, which had proved to be a deadly and very capable fighter in the
pacific.
The Hellcat, was powered by the huge “Pratt and Whitney” double wasp
motor and produced just over 2000hp. The aircraft was very easy to
maintain and was able to withstand considerable damage whilst offering
maximum protection to the pilot as it was extremely well armoured and
featured a self sealing fuel tank.
The FMS F6F Hellcat is a scale replica of the full sized aircraft and is
constructed from EPP foam resulting in a durable airframe that requires
minimum assembly. Its a very lightly loaded airframe giving
outstanding flight characteristics, in fact its just like the real
thing!
This Midi sized aircraft has a span of 1100mm which sandwiches it
between the existing war bird sizes that currently come from FMS hanger.
The scale 3 blade propeller is very efficient and it gives a great turn
of speed, the thrust generated provides almost unlimited performance
and is a sight to behold.
We have had great success with a 4S 2200mAh LiPo battery and it gives us
great duration without adversely affecting the wing loading. Add your
own radio and transmitter and by the time your battery has charged you
will be ready to fly, again this model has been designed using our
BITFIT philosophy. (Buy It Today, Fly It Today)
